Innovator and promoter of lean in the public sector Paul Akers shares the evolution of his lean office in his new video. Paul takes us on a tour through his company FastCap. He shares shows us how he has gone from a traditional sit-down office desk to stand up desk, cutting meeting time to a third in the process. Learn Paul's secret for staying close to the action in his gemba even while being at his desk.

I love this! How great?! You can be anywhere quick and easy. Out on the floor. Thanks for sharing.

Can you tell us where you got your lean brief case?
I have been looking for the materials you made your "shop" desk.
Where did you get the components to build the desk?

That's a great video and a fantastic standup desk. Thanks so much for sharing.

I've experimented with standup desks on and off the shop floor for a long time. Here's my current setup:

@Brian Schoenbaechler

It looks like the components the desk is made from are FlowTube (or similar):

FlowTube actually makes a lot of sense for a Lean desk; it is quick to build, you can fit casters so that it is moveable and it can be easily modified to make improvements.
